Donation to Gladstone Theatre from John Lewis Partnership

I might have mentioned that I work for the John Lewis Partnership. I was told recently that there is a chance that partners can get charitable donations for local charities they are involved in and I thought - why not have a go?

To my surprise my application for the Gladstone Theatre development fund was successful and here I am, presenting a cheque from John Lewis Liverpool for £500 to the Gladstone Theatre's fund raiser Alan Davies

White tigers and lions but no bears

Visited the West Midlands Wildlife Park in Bewdley on August Bank Holiday Sunday - on the way back from the RSC - see next post - and saw their wonderful white tigers and white lions and wolves and stuff. Notice how my Betski - my sitting room picture in the last post - seems to have some brothers in Bewdley.

Pictures follow - click on any of these to enlarge.

My animals

Here are a few of my animals in my sitting room at home. The first too arrive was Bet - the black panther (Bete Noir so to speak) who is James' really. Then the others sort of turned up one after the other. They are very well behaved and clean.

Bebington Dramatic Society and Riverside Players

Bebington and Riverside

For my sins I am secretary of Bebington Dramatic Society see www.bebingtondramaticsociety.co.uk

I am also Patrons Secretary for Riverside Players - two local dramatic societies. You can find Riverside at www.riverside-players.org.uk.

Here is a picture of me at the Riverside end of season bash when many of us were presented with Riverside 'Oscars'. I got mine for most popular actress in a leading role for playing Madame TicTac - a deaf/blind brothel Madame in London's East End. I had to age up a little for this part!

I also played Mrs Clandon last year in Shaw's "You Never Can Tell". (see here in the green skirt.
